Henrik Toft Hansen: 'Not an easy win'

On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball continued their flawless run in theLiqui Moly StarLigue, winning at Chambéry (27-33) in their Round 19 clash. Raul Gonzalez, Henrik Toft Hansen and Mathieu Grébille gave us their thoughts on the hard-earned win.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"It was complicated to win here, in a full house. But we were able to do it. We were not concentrated enough in attack in the first quarter of the game. That's why we went to seven, because it forced us to be more vigilant. In this system, a mistake is quickly fatal. We maintained our seven-point lead in the league, which is important. We still have an important week before the break, with the games against Veszprém and Nantes. If we win against The H, we'll be in a great position."

HENRIK TOFT HANSEN (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT):

"I'm very happy with this victory! It was not an easy win, especially in the first quarter of an hour. We had a lot of trouble with their goalkeeper. Afterwards, things got better and we came back well before the break. I'm also very happy with our second half - our seven-man attack made the difference. The league title isn't stitched up yet, because there are many good teams. Next week will be difficult. In the EHF Champions League, we will fight for a top-two finish. Then, against Nantes, we know that it will be complicated again. But I know that we will have our fans with us."

MATHIEU GRÉBILLE (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT-WINGER):

"It's always tough here! This arena is electric... We had a hard time getting into the game. We limited the damage by defending well, but in attack we had a lot of problems. Fortunately, we were never too far behind and we managed to come back before the break to make the difference in the second half, thanks to our seven against six play. Our opponents are always trying to break us down, so it's up to us to put in the rigour and the work required to play every three days. That's the hardest part of our job. Now we have two big games ahead of us. I hope that Coubertin will be on pumped! Against Veszprém, we'll have to depend somewhat on other results, but against Nantes, we have to win to be in an even better place in the championship!"
