Group B results - Round 13

Following Velux EHF Champions League Round 13, we know which teams have qualified - only the final ranking remains to be determined. Except that of Paris Saint-Germain Handball, who won 32-36 away to Celje and are now assured of top spot in Group B. Check out the rest of the round's results.

Nantes - Szeged: 29-26

That Les Rouge et Bleu knew they would top the group even before their clash with Celje was due to Szeged's loss in Nantes 24 hours earlier. The H, assured of a last 16 place since Round 12, were nonetheless out to finish as high up the table as possible and gave their all against the Hungarian side. Mission accomplished for Thierry Anti's men, who turned in an excellent performance with Nicolas Claire standing out with goals from every position and Valero Rivera firing an impressive 8 from 9.

Zaporozhye - Skjern: 33-23

Zaporozhye also clinched a place inter knockout rounds - in their very first season in the higher groups. They did so at home to bottom club Skjern, taking the reins of the match early on and never letting go, with Marksmen Barys Pukhouski and Igor Sokora firing 8 from 8 and 6 from 6 respectively. Heading into their final-round trip to Coubertin, Zaporozhye sit in fifth, while Skjern are eliminated.

Zagreb - Flensburg: 21-22

Ahead of the visit of Flensburg, Zagreb were yet to clinch qualification and found themselves obliged to get a result against the German side in order to keep their hopes alive. The Croats did a fine job in the first half, taking a two-point lead into the break (30’: 11-9), but the second 30 minutes were more delicate and their lead evaporated (40’: 13-15). In the end, despite a final goal from Josip Bozic, Zlatko Horvat and his teammates lost out - but, given Celje's defeat, the result changed nothing for Zagreb.Flensburg, meanwhile, sit tight in third place - a ranking they will defend at home to Nantes on Wednesday.
