Group B results - Matchday 7

Matchday 7 in EHF Champions League Group B was full of surprises. Paris Saint-Germain Handball won against Porto (33-19) and came back to within two points of second place (which qualifies directly for the quarter-finals). Check out the rest of the results from the group.

Flensburg - Dinamo Bucharest: 47-30
After a difficult start, Flensburg seem to have got back on track. The Germans dominated on Wednesday evening as they played host to Bucharest. Thanks to an excellent Hampus Wanne, who fired amp 8 from 8, the hosts struggled for the first half of the match (30': 14-14), before taking off in the second. The win takes them out of the red zone and ahead of Porto. With just four points, the Romanians are now last.

Zaporozhye - Veszprém: 29-27
The first surprising result came from Ukraine, where Zaporozhye beat Veszprém. The Hungarians chased the game for a long time, without ever managing to catch up. The two goalkeepers, Gennadiy Komok (for Zaporozhye) and Rodrigo Corrales (for Veszprém), had a great long-range duel, keeping out 13 and 12 shots respectively. The former Parisian's team lost for the second time in a row after losing to Bucharest (31-29) a fortnight ago and are now third. The Ukrainians have climbed to fifth place.

Barcelona - Kielce: 30-32
It had been six years since Barcelona last lost in the Champions League at the Palau Blaugrana, but Matchday 7 saw Kielce - the last team to beat Barça in Catalonia - do it once again. After losing their opener to Dinamo, the Poles have been unstoppable and have now won six in a row. This one, obtained after a 7 from 7 from Arkadiusz Moryto and six goals from Dylan Nahi, is even more important than symbolic, as it took the Yellow and Blue three points clear of their opponents and nearest challengers, and four ahead of fourth-placed Barcelona. Barcelona drop to second place, with Veszprém and Les Rouge wet Bleu breathing down their necks.
