Group B results - Matchday 3

Paris Saint-Germain Handball took a point from their trip to Flensburg (27-27) on Wednesday evening. Check out the other results from Group B on EHF Champions League Matchday 3.

Veszprém - Kielce: 29-28
This group is full of big matches and shock results! On Wednesday afternoon, at the Veszprém Arena, there were both. The least we can say is that this opposition kept all its promises - the Hungarians had a great first half, dominating proceedings and building a strong lead by the break (30': 16-12), but then they saw their lead melt like snow in the sun throughout the second half (53': 26-26). Finally, Barcelona - defending champions and winners of their first two matches - fell in the final moments as Dika missed a chance to equalise on the final buzzer, denied by Rodrigo Corrales.

Zaporozhye - Kielce: 25-26
For Zaporozhye, too, everything came down to the last few attacks. Kielce, who were on the road in Ukraine, were up against a valiant local team who were still in the lead with less than five minutes to go (55': 24-23). Indeed, well led by a nine goal-haul from Aidenas Malasinskas and the fifteen saves of Gennadiy Komok, they more than made the Poles falter, but Kielce were able to regain the lead at the death, thanks in part to French pivot Nicolas Tournat, who scored his team's last goal.

Dinamo Bucharest - Porto: 27-28
The last game of the group, between Dinamo Bucharest and Porto on Thursday, followed the same pattern as the first three games and was a very tight affair. While the Portuguese seemed to have done the hardest part (38': 18-21), they had a real fight on their hands. The Romanian outfit are hard to handle on their home turf - they beat Kielce on Matchday 1) - and they weren't about to take it lying down. At the start of the last minute of the game, they managed to get level (59': 26-26), but the visitors regained their advantage in the following seconds, thanks to a goal by Pedro Cruz and a save on the buzzer by Nikola Mitrevski.
