Group B results - Matchday 2

On Thursday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball secured their first European victory of the season, beating Dinamo Bucharest (41-30). Check out the rest of the EHF Champions League Group B results.

Porto - Flensburg: 28-27
This was the only game in which both teams had lost the previous week (Porto in Zaporozhye, 30-27 and Flensburg against Barcelona, 21-25) and therefore had zero points. It was the Portuguese who managed to get off the mark, after a very long mano à mano! The advantage was all over the place throughout the match, without either team ever being able to get away from the other. This type of match often plays out on details, and what made the difference for Porto was a save to go by goalkeeper Nikola Mitrevski with 20 seconds - and then a penalty on the buzzer, converted by Aria Rodrigues.

Kielce - Veszprém: 32-29
The clash of the matchday was certainly the one in Kielce, who played Les Rouge et Bleu s' Matchday 1 nemeses Veszprém. Beaten by Dinamo Bucharest in the opening game, the Poles were keen to rectify the situation on their home ground. Mission accomplished! Kielce, led by Dylan Nahi's five goals and Alex Dujshebaev's seven, got the better of an excellent Rodrigo Corrales, who made ten saves. The presence of Dujshebaev in the top goals and Rodrigo in the top saves list is a testament to the spectacular nature of this match.

Barcelona - Zaporozhye: 36-25
Barcelona finally got their act together on Thursday afternoon when they hosted Zaporozhye. The Ukrainians tried to keep up with the Catalans, with Barys Pukhouski scoring six goals, and they were still in the game at the break (30': 16-13). But the last 30 minutes proved fatal, with French international Dika Mem scoring eight goals. Apart from the Blaugrana on four points and Flensburg on zero, all the other teams in the group have two points, with one win and one loss each.
