Group A results: Matchday 3
Winners over Elverum Handball (22-25) on Saturday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball are one of the two teams to have won all their matches in Velux EHF Champions League Group A. Check out the rest of the Group's Matchday 3 results.
Szeged - Flensburg: 24-24
The biggest clash in the group this week was between Szeged and Flensburg. With both sides hopeful of topping the group, points were at a premium but neither side could get the better of the other and honours ended up even at Varosi Sportcsarnok. The match was extremely tight throughout, with neither side getting more than two goals in front. The Hungarians now sit fifth with three points, while the Germans are just behind Les Rouge et Bleu on five.
Zagreb - Barcelona: 19-36
Beaten on the first day by Szeged (31-28), Barcelona have since returned to form and they turned in an assured performance when they travelled to Zagreb. Well ahead at the break (9-21), they powered even further ahead in the second half thanks in no small part to the excellent Alex Gomez Abello, who scored 8 from 10. Meanwhile, the Croats were totally off course in attack, with just a 32% conversion rate for offensive moves and just 39% efficiency in shooting. They remain without a point so far this campaign.

Celje - Aalborg: 28-29
Just like Paris, Aalborg continued their flawless start to the group stage. After two wins in the first two matches, the Danes were keen to confirm their form away to Celje, who were coming off consecutive defeats. The form team ran out winners, but the match was tighter than they would have liked and only went the visitors way after Vid Poteko missed with a final attempt on goal. Voted best pivot of the week, Magnus Saugstrup Jensen was one of the driving forces of his side's win with 5 from 5.
