Group A results

Paris Saint-Germain Handball suffered their first defeat of the European campaign on Wednesday, away to Kielce (30-29). Find out the other results from Group A in EHF Champions League Matchday 3.

Szeged - Aalborg: 34-27

After two wins in as many games, Aalborg finally fell. The Danes travelled to Szeged, where they were up against a very fine Hungarian side. Croatian left-winger Mario Sostaric put in a sublime performance, scoring nine goals from just ten attempts. The Danes thus fell to a first defeat of the campaign, while Szeged got their points tally off the mark.

PELISTER - KIEL: 20-23

Kiel are in sole control of the standings. Winners of their first two matches, the German outfit weren neck-and-neck with Aalborg and Paris but, following their win in Pelister, they are now the last unbeaten team in the group. French goalkeeper Samir Bellahcene, who arrived in northern Germany a few weeks ago, put in another fine performance, making 12 saves. Offensively, it was the Zebras who struggled more, but they still left Macedonia with a three-point win and both points in the bag.

ZAGREB - KOLSTAD: 31-20

With zero points from the start of the group stage, Zagreb were looking to make up for lost time against Kolstad on Thursday evening. It was a great opportunity for the Croatians in their Arena Zagreb and they duly made the most of it with a perfectly controlled victory. At the break, it looked as though the hardest part had already been done (30': 17-10). Among the fine individual performances was that of Matej Mandic, who made 16 saves. The two teams are now level on two points apiece.
