Ferran Solé extends contract with Emil Mellegard set to join next season

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce that Ferran Solé has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping the Spanish right winger in the French capital until 2027, while the club can also confirm that Swedish left winger Emil Mellegård will join the team on a two-year deal starting in July 2025.

FERRAN SOLÉ, A WORLD-CLASS WINGER

Born in the province of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain, Ferran Solé started out at BM Granollers, where he plied his trade for five seasons before moving to Fenix Toulouse Handball in 2016.

In July 2020, the Spain international joined Paris Saint-Germain Handball. In his time with Les Rouge et Bleu so far, Solé has made 215 appearances and scored 669 goals across all competitions, as well as winning four LNH Division 1 titles (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and two Coupes de France (2021 and 2022).

Solé has also enjoyed an illustrious career at international level, including being named as the best right winger at the 2018 EHF European Men’s Handball Championship, a competition that he has won with Spain on two occasions (2018 and 2020). The 32-year-old has also been included in the All-Star Teams of two IHF World Men’s Handball Championships (2019 and 2021).
