Elohim Prandi to stay with Paris Saint-Germain through to 2028
Paris Saint-Germain Handball is proud to announce the extension of Elohim Prandi's contract for a further two seasons. The left-back is now tied to the Club until 30 June 2028.
A product of the academy at US Ivry Handball, Elohim Prandi joined USAM Nîmes in 2017. In the summer of 2020, the French international signed for Paris Saint-Germain and went on to win four consecutive French championships (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024), two Coupes de France (2021 and 2022) and a Trophée des Champions Trophy (2023). In 163 official matches in all competitions for Les Rouge et Bleu, the Parisian has scored 777 goals.
Voted best left-back in the French league last season, 'Elo' was also named Europe's number one left-back at the EHF Excellence Awards 2024.
Elohim Prandi made his debut in the blue jersey of France with the national youth teams, winning the U18 European Championship title in 2015 and then the U19 world title in 2017. He made his first appearance for France's senior team in October 2019 and since then won a silver medal at the 2023 World championship and gold at the 2024 European championship last January.
The 25-year-old Parisian now has 39 caps and 94 goals for the French national team, just a few days before taking part in his first Olympic Games - alongside club-mates Luka and Nikola Karabatic.
"We are very happy to keep Elohim with us until 2028. He's a very talented player who is the envy of all Europe. Since joining Paris Saint-Germain, he has progressed enormously to become a major player in our squad and in the French national team. We are convinced that he will continue to play a key role in our future successes."
Thierry Omeyer, General Manager of Paris Saint-Germain Handball
"It's a great satisfaction to be extending this adventure with Paris Saint-Germain. For me, continuing here was an obvious choice. As soon as I arrived in 2020, I wanted to make a lasting contribution to the club's history and to be a leader in this talented group. This contract extension is a vote of confidence from the management and the coach, and I'm grateful to them for that. We share the same ambitions and will continue to aim for the top, alongside our supporters."
