Elohim Prandi: 'A great feeling'

On Friday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball played the first friendly of the pre-season - five months after their last official match. Les Rouge et Bleu won comfortably against Ivry (33-24) and Jesus Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Elohim Prandi on the win and their return to action.

Jesus Gonzalez (assistant coach of Paris Saint-Germain Handball):
"There are a lot of things to correct, but we hadn't played for five months. The start of a new season is never easy. We also have new players, who had to adapt to our game. We need to improve our offensive system, but I'm not worried."

Luka Karabatic (pivot and captain of Paris Saint-Germain Handball):
"It's a bit weird to play a match after such a long break. I've never been out of action for so long before and I think that was the case for a lot of players. But it's good to play match! So far we have just been playing against each other. There are still a lot of things to work on and a lot of rhythm to find, but that's normal... We have to find the automatisms with the new recruits. For a first game, it was good and we have elements to build on. We're going to get stronger."

Elohim Prandi (Paris Saint-Germain Handball playmaker):
"The feeling of being back on the court after such a long lay-off is very good! After four weeks of rather intensive physical preparations - we're getting into shape for the season ahead - we had to find our feet in an actual game. For my first game here, I felt good. I still need to get my bearings, but that's what friendly matches are for! I still enjoy being on the court, and even more so after five months!"
