Dylan Nahi: 'A very positive first half of the season'
After their 13th consecutive Lidl StarLigue win, the Parisians took a look back on their Lidl StarLigue victory over Dunkirk (36-25).
Jota Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"We can all go on holidays with a clear conscience. Tonight we played very well and everyone was able to participate in this success. We had a very good first part of the season, with only two defeats, against Barcelona. In the Lidl StarLigue, we're going great guns with 13 wins in a row. Now we're going to rest for the difficult second half of the season, with a lot of games away from home against teams that are very hard to beat."
Nikola Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball playmaker):
"We finished the year in a great way, against a good Dunkerque team. We did the job, because we knew it was the last game before the holidays and we didn't want to take it lightly. We tried to offer the best possible show to the fans who came out tonight. It's a good way to end 2019. With this win, maintained our flawless record. We know that we will have difficult away games in the second half of the season: Nantes, Montpellier, Aix, Chambéry, Saint-Raphaël... Now, and it's a rare thing, I'm going to take advantage of a week's holiday to rest. Given the big matches that are coming up, between the Euros and perhaps the Olympic Games, we need to make the most of all the recovery days we have."
Dylan Nahi (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-winger):
"We played a good game to finish 2019. This game didn't necessarily start very well for us: we were a little out of sorts for the first 15 minutes. But then we were able to solve the problems we had in Dunkirk, especially in defence. We finish with a fairly big win and that's great before enjoying a well-deserved holiday. It is exceptional to finish the year with a 13th consecutive victory in the Lidl StarLigue. We are very happy. We'll have to keep going like half of the season!"
