Daniel Narcisse centre stage at the Parc des Princes

The former Paris Saint-Germain Handball player (2013-2018), who called time on his career last summer, was the guest of honour for Saturday's 9-0 Ligue 1 win over Guingamp at the Parc des Princes.

A few minutes before kick-off, the 2012 IHF World Player of the Year stepped out onto the Parc des Princes pitch to a great ovation. After that, Paris Saint-Germain's General Manager, Jean-Claude Blanc, gave him a momento of his years in the club's colours.

With Paris, Narcisse won the French title four times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), three Coupes de France (2014, 2015, 2018), three Trophées des Champions (2014, 2015, 2016), and two Coupes de la Ligue (2017, 2018).

"I must thank the fans for that welcome, and the club for having acknowledged my career," the 2008 and 2012 Olympic champion said. "It makes me very happy, I'm touched! I wish the club all the best this season, I hope they'll achieve all their objectives for their fans."
