Dani Baijens to join Paris Saint-Germain Handball in July 2024

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce the signing of Dani Baijens from 1 July 2024. The 25-year-old Dutch centre-half will be linked to the Club for two seasons.

Dani Baijens began his professional career in his homeland with HV KRAS/Volendam, where he played his first minutes in European competition during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 editions of the EHF European Cup.

In 2017, the centre-half signed for SG Flensburg-Handewitt in Germany. A year later, he joined TBV Lemgo for three seasons, before moving to ASV Hamm-Westfalen in 2021. In the summer of 2022, the future Parisian signed for Hamburg.

Playing alongside Parisian Luc Steins in the Dutch national team, Dani Baijens made his debut for the Netherlands at the age of 18, on 21 December 2016, in a match against South Korea. He now has 187 goals in 70 appearances for the Oranje.

Thierry Omeyer, general maanger of Paris Saint-Germain Handball

"Dani Baijens is a young player who has confirmed his potential and talent in the Bundesliga, one of the most competitive leagues. He has the ability to play in a variety of positions and his style of play is compatible with that advocated by Raul Gonzalez. We are delighted to welcome him to our ranks for next season. He will continue to develop as part of our team, and in particular alongside a benchmark centre-half - his compatriot Luc Steins."
