Champions League: Potential opponents
This Thursday afternoon, in Vienna, the draw for the group stage of the Velux EHF Champions League for the 2019-2020 season will place. Check Paris Saint-Germain Handball's potential opponents...
First of all, Les Rouge et Bleu are assured of avoiding recently crowned European champions Vardar Skopje, as both teams are in pot 1. Another certainty is that Raul Gonzalez's team will face Zagreb sooner or later; the Croatians appear in pot 6, just like Montpellier, the other French team in the competition. Montpellier and Paris cannot be in the same group. The other 12 competitors - a group including the likes of Veszprém, Barcelona, Aalborg and Zaporozhye - are all plausible candidates.
The last season’s runners-up @mkbveszpremkc will be in the Pot 2️⃣ together with the third ranked team of 2018/19 @FCBhandbol. #veluxehfcl— EHF Champions League (@ehfcl) June 24, 2019

Several clubs will return to or make their debuts in the upper groups. Kiel, after a season in the EHF Cup, return to the Champions League, while Porto and the Norwegians of Elverum Handball, who had excellent 2018-19 campaigns, move to the highest echelon. The draw will take place at 18:00 CET and can be followed on our official website and social networks.
