Battles on all fronts: Our Parisians’ April fixtures

After a perfect month of March (five victories in five matches in all competitions), our Parisians are approaching of April with great ambition. With a European epic and the fight for the league title, the capital club’s upcoming clashes promise to be crucial in this home stretch of the season.

In a month marked by the first international break since the World Championship, Raul Gonzalez's men confirmed their excellent recent form. With a perfect record both in the league and in Europe, Paris have moved a step closer to their various objectives. A case in point was the 34-29 victory over Nantes, which allowed Les Rouge et Bleu to reclaim top spot. On the continental stage, the capital club took the first step towards qualifying for the quarter-finals by beating Szeged in Hungary in the first leg of the play-offs (31-30).

ALL EYES ON EHF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER-FINAL QUALIFICATION

The month of April kicks off with the return leg against the Hungarian giants. It's a crucial meeting, as Paris' European future depends on it. Les Rouge et Bleu will need the fans to turn up the heat at Coubertin if they are to progress and meet Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

Last tickets for Paris - Szeged !

After seeing off Créteil 30-19 in a one-sided derby on Sunday, Paris took advantage of Nantes' slip-up at Istres to extend their lead at the top of the standings. Although they now hold a three-point lead over The H, Les Rouge et Bleu will be determined to maintain their good form and take no risks. That's why they'll need to be laser-focused for their Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 22 in Chartres on Sunday, despite the short recovery time after their clash with Szeged.

A place in the Coupe de France final up for grabs

It will be serious business, all the more so on Wednesday 9 April, when Coubertin will host another major event in the business end of the season. In the Coupe de France semi-finals, Paris will take on Chambéry. The objective is clear for Raul Gonzalez's men: to book their ticket to the final and maintain their chances of winning a trophy that has eluded them since 2022. The occasion will be marked by the introduction of rewards at each level of ticket sales reached. Don't wait any longer to book your seats and join in the fun!

After this intense week, our Rouge et Bleu will continue their league marathon with a home game against Toulouse on Sunday 13 April and a trip to the Glaz Arena a week later to challenge a Cesson-Rennes team on the brink of relegation.

An end of April still to be confirmed

Finally, the programme for the last week of April is still unknown for the moment. And for good reason: if Paris were to qualify against Szeged this Thursday, the capital club would face reigning European champions Barcelona in the next round.
The first leg of the EHF Champions League quarter-final, which would take place at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin, would be held on Wednesday 23 or Thursday 24 April. Before the return leg, which will take place in the Catalonia on 30 April or 1 May, Paris will play host to Tremblay Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 25 action. The scheduling of this match is still pending confirmation, depending on whether the capital club qualifies against Szeged this Thursday.

So, it's a particularly busy April that awaits our Parisians. Between the Liqui Moly StarLigue, the Coupe de France and the EHF Champions League, the objectives of our Les Rouge et Bleu are many. All the ingredients are thus there to offer us a thrilling end to the season. One thing is for sure, whether it's at Coubertin or on the road, our Parisians will need you.
