Back in action!

On Monday, the Paris Saint-Germain Handball squad met at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin to prepare for the 2020-2021 season. A look back at these first two days of pre-season training!

For some, it wasn't quite a first of the season… Indeed, our five new recruits (Yann Genty, Dainis Kristopans, Ferran Solé, Mathieu Grébille and Elohim Prandi), as well as Dylan Nahi, had already participated in a week of training in Paris, before the return of their teammates.

So the return took place on Monday morning, in a good mood!

No sooner had our players started talking about their holidays than they had to get right down to work! For this first training session of the season, our physical trainer, Arthur Yapo, concocted two very physical sessions for the lads! In the morning, they put on their sneakers for a 30-minute jog.

In the afternoon, a training circuit awaited Les Rouge et Bleu! Arthur and Saïd Ouksir split the group in two and prepared specific exercises lasting 25 minutes per workshop.

On Tuesday morning, all the members of Paris Saint-Germain Handball met at Coubertin for another day of training. Once again, the group worked under Arthur's leadership. On the programme: a 90-minute session!

A few hours later came the moment our players had been waiting for for five months: finally playing handball again! After a little warm-up game - won by the "old boys" thanks to a strike from Dainis Kristopans - the Parisians worked with the ball for more than an hour, alongside Raul Gonzalez. Their long-practiced habits quickly returned and the show was already on!

As a reminder, Paris Saint-Germain Handball's pre-season preparations will last until mid-September. In the meantime, several friendly matches are scheduled.
