Adama Keita: 'Our state of mind was good'

The Parisians took a look back at their hard-fought win over Aix in the opening round of the 2020-21 Lidl Starligue season.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):

"We had a lot of difficulties during this match, but we managed to win. That's the most important thing. Our new players still have to find their feet. Now we have to prepare for our second Champions League match. After losing at home to Flensburg, we have no choice: we have to win!"

Adama Keita (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-winger):

"It wasn't an easy game against a team that played very well. On our side, we didn't show our best handball, but our state of mind was good. We didn't give up, we pushed all the way to the end. We're happy with the results and hopefully we can build up the momentum as the games go on."

Benoît Kounkoud (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"We know that in the Lidl StarLigue, every match is going to be a big fight. But it's important that, even in difficult matches like this, we manage to produce enough fighting spirit and self-sacrifice to win. It's these kinds of victories that build us as a team. In any case, it's nice to start this championship with a victory after our mid-week defeat against Flensburg. Now we'll have to step up our game because tonight we made a few more mistakes that could have cost us dearly, but we managed to stay a little more united and we'll do even better in the next match."
