A look at Les Rouge et Bleus' return from the winter break

Alors que certains de leurs coéquipiers sont en pleine préparation du Championnat du Monde qui débutera le 14 janvier prochain, les Parisiens non internationaux ont fait leur retour à Coubertin ce mardi.

Two and a half weeks after rounding off the 2024 season with a convincing 41-34 win over Saint-Raphaël, Paris Saint-Germain handball were back in action on Tuesday. It was a low-key resumption, and a small one at Coubertin: a group comprising Jannick Green, David Balaguer, Ruben Marchan, Wallem Peleka, Léo Plantin and Gautier Loredon had a weight training session.

The serious business will kick off next Monday when collective training resumes. The capital club will be looking to prepare well for their upcoming fixtures as a particularly busy month of February looms. First up, there's a high-octane return to action against Nantes in the last 16 of the Coupe de France on 7 or 8 February. A must-see match at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin!

Folowing this clash with Nantes, Les Rouge et Bleu will be approaching the end of the Champions League group stage, with three decisive matches on the programme. After Plock (Stade Pierre de Coubertin, 13 February, 20:45), Raul Gonzalez's men take on Fredericia (Stade Pierre de Coubertin, 19 February, 18:45), before the crunch clash against Veszprém (Veszprém, 27 February, 20:45) in the final home match of the group stage. Les Rouge et Bleu are thus back in the thick of things ahead of a second half of the season that promises to be as exciting as it is intense.
