A great week for Dominik and Luc
Last week, several of our international players were on the court representing their countries in Euro 2024 qualifiers. Check out how they fared...
NETHERLANDS (LUC STEINS)
Luc Steins' Netherlands had a double-header against Croatia. The first round took place in Eindhoven on Wednesday and the Dutch were in complete control. Led by their Parisian centre-half (who scored six goals from eight attempts), they put in a very good performance and took two important points in the race for qualification (32-27). The second round was played on Sunday, this time in Osijek, Croatia. Thanks to two more goals from Luc, the Netherlands clinched a promising draw, even though they could have hoped for better (no goals in the last five minutes). With two games to go, they are tied with Croatia and sit one point behind Group 5 leaders Greece.

HUNGARY (DOMINIK MATHÉ)
Dominik Mathé did not play in the first game in Switzerland (32-37), but he did play in the second match, on Sunday afternoon. Our right-back was making his return to the Hungarian national team after being out injured since 2022, and Dom' showed that he has lost none of sparkle! He hit a 5 from 8 and was one of the driving forces behind Hungary's success (36-27). Thanks to these two victories, the Hungarians are clear atop of Group 6 standings and are already qualified for European 2024, which will be held in Germany.
