A decisive final matchday

Parisians representing three different countries tasted victory once again on Wednesday evening.

Macedonia - Spain: 21-32
A Spain side featuring Rodrigo Corrales and Viran Morros struggled in the first half against Raul Gonzalez's Macedonia. The Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach's side were in front for mot of the first 30 minutes but conceded the lead just before the break (12-13), with Spain pulling clear in the second term. The win set up a decisive final matchday clash between Group B co-leaders Spain and Croatia.

Croatia - Bahrain: 32-20
With Luka Stepancic on the bench, Croatia nonetheless ran riot faced with Bahrain, bullying their way to a 12-goal win - their fourth victory in a row - ahead of their clash with Spain.

Qatar - Sweden: 22-23
Sweden also maintained their perfect record, but it was no walk in the park for the 2015 World Cup runners-up. However, the Yellow and Blues had the upper hand in the second half and managed to come out on top with the narrowest of margins. Now Kim Ekdahl du Rietz and his teammates are all but assured of topping Group D, but they cannot afford to lose against Hungary in their final group-stage clash on Thursday.
