Leandro Paredes made his pro debut for Boca Juniors. After 31 matches, he headed for Europe, and Italy to be precise, signing for AS Roma. His versatile profile attracted a lot of attention and he moved to Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia.
61 matches (and 10 goals) later, he joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 during the winter mercato. He has played as a defensive midfielder, or as a classic central midfielder, always with the same technical class. He scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain on 29 January 2020, in the Coupe de France against Pau, a match in which he wore the captain's armband for the first time.
