World Cup winners honoured
Crowned world champions in Russia this summer with Les Bleus, Paris Saint-Germain stars Alphonse Areola, Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappé were honoured before kick-off at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.
The three Paris Saint-Germain players were presented on the pitch at the Parc des Princes with the World Cup just minutes before the opening match of the 2018-19 Ligue 1 season, and received a long and passionate ovation from the fans.
"We are very happy to be here, back in Paris with the World Cup," declared the Paris No.7. "We have received a formidable welcome from the fans. We are very proud."
After the game, Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi offered the three world champions a trophy to honour their achievement.
