France reach UNL semis with win over Croatia ft. Doué debut and Dembélé goal
A France side featuring Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaïre-Emery, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué beat Croatia 5-4 on penalties following a 2-0 win at the Stade de France last night in the second leg of their UEFA Nations League quarter-final.
Last night's match saw Doué earn his first senior France cap before scoring his penalty in the shootout, while Dembélé notched up his side's second goal on the night.
Despite losing 2-0 to the Croats in the first leg at Split's Stadion Poljud last Thursday, Didier Deschamps's men have now secured their place in the UNL semi-finals, where they will face Spain at 20:45 CET on Thursday 5th June in Stuttgart, Germany.
