Tuchel: 'We need to improve'

Find out what the Paris Saint-Germain coach and players had to say after the 2-0 win over Nantes at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday:

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"We scored a great goal during our best 15 minutes at the start of the second half. Unfortunately, it was our only good 15 minutes because after that, we stopped playing as a team. I don't know why, whether we can't or it's just a question of confidence. Tonight we will remember the result and that, once again, it was Keylor Navas that saved us. We will analyse what happened tonight and keep working. I don't want to look for excuses, it's better to look for solutions. We won, but we need to improve and get our confidence back."

Abdou Diallo (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
"We needed a goal to unlock the match. It took time to find the breakthrough against a very compact and deep defence. Things improved after we scored. All teams defend, but not in the same way. Tonight they were very aggressive and looked to break into attack very quickly. We have to be patient because time plays in our favour."

Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"The first half was catastrophic. We lost a lot of ball and we couldn't play our normal football. We tried to attack too quickly when we should have held onto possession against a side that defended very well. The second half was better. We know we have talent in attack. If we defend well, we know we will have chances to score. That's what we tried to do: keep a clean sheet and let the three up front make the difference. We need to see what we can do to keep progressing and find solutions, not guilty parties."

Idrissa Gueye (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"It was very tough against a side that pressed very high and stopped us playing our football. The main thing was to get the three points. We know we need to improve. At half-time, the coach asked us to hold onto the ball more and try and release our attackers in behind to try and get that goal. We know that they can score at any time. On the counter attack, Angel perfectly found Kylian and that was a superb goal that set us on the way to victory."
