Tuchel: 'Stay positive'

Thomas Tuchel spoke about the importance of staying positive in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Week 17 Ligue 1 clash away to Montpellier 7 December at 17:30 at the Stade de La Mosson:

SQUAD

"Marco Verratti and Ander Herrera are unavailable. We still have a doubt about Idrissa Gueye. All the other players are available."

NANTES

"We're in a phase where we're not playing our best football. We have to admit it. It's hard to create scoring chances and we need to find a more fluid game. We are responsible for our performances. Winning without being completely satisfied is possible. This has been the case for a few weeks. It is also necessary to look at the positive things. I want to create an atmosphere where there is no fear of losing. This is a challenge for us. It's good to follow up quickly with another game on Saturday against Montpellier. I remain positive because I see my team in training. The team did an exceptional workout on Thursday, with lots of quality and intensity. We have a good team, a good mindset."

MONTPELLIER

"Montpellier are a very strong team, compact, strong, counterattacking, with long balls and a lot of crosses, and always with two strikers in the box. There will be a lot of one-on-one that we'll have to win. We will have to defend carefully and make a lot of effort. Montpellier play in a very disciplined 5-3-2, like last season. It's a tight block against which it's not easy to create chances. This will be our challenge, we will have to be decisive, create spaces. We have the quality. We will have to find solutions and be patient."

ADIL AOUCHICHE AND TANGUY KOUASSI

"I am very satisfied with Adil and Tanguy. They had a very good U17 World Cup. I think they gained confidence during this competition. They show a lot of qualities in training. I hope we will have the opportunity to play them because they come from the club's youth academy, and because they have the quality to do play for this club."
