Tuchel: 'Capable of producing a big performance'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel spoke to the media ahead of the Matchday 2 UEFA Champions League clash away to Galatasaray.

GALATASARAY AFTER MADRID

We beat Real Madrid 3-0 but that’s finished now. Now it’s 0-0 again. People think, they beat Real Madrid and now they will beat Galatasaray. It’s doesn’t work that way, but we have played three games with a lot of quality, against Real Madrid, Lyon and Bordeaux, but now we have to play with the same spirit, the same sense of sacrifice and intensity in tomorrow’s game. But the game against Real Madrid is finished. We are not thinking about that any more.

GALATASARAY

Everyone says the atmosphere is incredible here. That’s the challenge, for us to show our quality in this atmosphere, against a great club like Galatasaray. But it doesn’t influence the way we prepare for the match. But it’s a challenge for us tomorrow on the pitch to show what we can do and I think we can do it.

RADAMEL FALCAO

Galatasaray have a very good squad. Falcao is an excellent, experienced striker. But we do not have a specific plan to try and stop Falcao. They are an excellent team and we have to stop them attacking as a team, not just stopping Falcao.

EDINSON CAVANI

Edi has trained with us yesterday without feeling any pain, but not moving freely, and not mentally free. No pain, which is good, but we need to be patient a little longer.

MAURO ICARDI

it’s difficult, because I honestly don’t know if Mauro is really ready. He will have a test today. He travelled with us to Bordeaux for the final ten minutes but didn’t play. He trained yesterday without pain. He hasn’t played for many months, many weeks. We have to see how he goes today. Then we have to talk with Kylian Mbappé, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. It’s not easy, but we will find a solution.
