Thomas Tuchel: 'We lacked precision'

Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Meunier and Edinson Cavani gave us their thoughts after Paris Saint-Germain had clinched their place in the Coupe de France quarter-finals with a win over Villefranche.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"It was a really tough game, very tight. We had several chances at the start of the game, and if we had put them away we would have had more confidence. A lot of our players hadn't played much these last few weeks, so they lacked a bit of rhythm and confidence. We lacked precision right up until the end of extra-time."

Thomas Meunier (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
"Villefranche played really well defensively, they stayed compact and focussed on their task. They played on the counter-attack, which wasn't easy to handle. Our substitutes did us a lot of good. It was a tough game, sometimes you need that. It builds character."

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"We came up against a very determined opponent, who played very well. It was a difficult match, but we managed to break the deadlock. After our first goal, it was more open. I think that, in the end, we deserved to win."
