Thomas Tuchel: "We are united"

On the eve of the Round 12 match against Bordeaux, this Saturday November 28 at 21:00 CET at the Parc des princes, the Paris Saint-Germain coach answered questions from PSG TV and the media. Extracts...

BORDEAUX

"I'm expecting them to line up in a 4-4-2 with Ben Arfa as their second forward or as a number ten, depending on the phase of play. It's very difficult to create chances against Bordeaux. I want us to have possession and for us to be active. Bordeaux play as a block and they're disciplined. I think it will be a good match. Of course our opponents prefer to face us between two Champions League games. It's a good time to face us. It will be a challenge for us and we mustn't lose in terms of our aggressiveness. It's a different context to the match against Monaco, that took place after an international week. We played on Tuesday and our next game is on Wednesday. That give us time to focus."

CRITICISM

"For me, it's very clear, I can understand criticism, but we have different positions. Personally, I am with my team and I fight with them, I live every pass, duel and sprint with my team. We are united. I can understand and accept the criticism, but it needs to be accepted too that we have a different feeling. We're working hard. I get the impression a little bit that journalists want to convince me that their opinion is right. But on the pitch, or next to it, the feeling is completely different. But it's not a serious problem."

MARCO VERRATTI

"Marco can change everything. He showed that in a few minutes against Leipzig. His display was extraordinary. He showed his qualities, and that made a big change to the match as he made a big impact. We decided on the morning of the match that he'd be on the bench as he'd only managed half a training session with the squad. I'm happy he didn't have a problem. He will train on Friday and maybe he'll play a half against Bordeaux. He brings confidence to the team and he has a lot of quality."
