Thomas Tuchel: 'Show a reaction'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach is looking to his side to bounce back after a testing week when they face Bordeaux on Sunday.

THE SQUAD

"Thomas Meunier is ill, Colin Dagba is injured, and so is Mitchel Bakker. They won't be with us tomorrow. All the others trained, and we have another session tomorrow, but I think everyone will be available."

BORDEAUX

"I expect a very defensive team, ready to counter-attack. We have to adapt to every possible situation. It's never easy to go again after a defeat, but that's our challenge, and we have to react, at the Parc too. We have to show what we're capable of going. Bordeaux are a strong team on set-pieces, they've started the season very strongly, they're capable of keeping the ball. We'll have to be at our best."

THE FIXTURE LIST

"We have some days after the Bordeaux game to analyse several things, and some time to prepare for our next game. First, we play Bordeaux. It's not easy, but we have to show a reaction; I know that we can do that. It's like that in sport. You win then you lose, and when you lose, you're unhappy with your performance. In the end, you have to react. The pressure is going to increase in the coming weeks, we have to handle it well. That's the law of sport."

THE MATCH IN DORTMUND

"For me, a match in Dortmund is difficult to analyse, even on video, because the atmosphere has a lot of influence. You feel it on the pitch, not at all on video. It's a bit like at Anfield. That atmosphere can spur a team on, and as a result, analysis becomes difficult. In my opinion, we lacked determination, the same as Dortmund had, to win the match. We also weren't able to adapt to every situation. It wasn't our best performance, we know that, but we had a lot of players coming back from injury...there is always a context. But we know we have to improve, we're going to do that."

THE SECOND LEG

"We're not completely focussed on the second leg against Dortmund already. But I think we want to show that we're already ready for that game. We have Ligue 1 and Coupe de France games, and we want to get our confidence back, but we're going to prepare for each match individually, even if Dortmund is undoubtedly already in our minds a little bit."

THE SPIRIT

"I know my players are very competitive. I see them after a defeat, I see that they want to bounce back immediately. They want to show what they're capable of. It reminds me of our tie with Liverpool last season. A similar first leg, and a desire to show a reaction in the second leg, which we did."
