Thomas Tuchel: 'Playing at the Parc is always a delight'

Thomas Tuchel, Loïc Mbe Soh and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gave their reactions after Paris Saint-Germain's 7-0 victory over Waasland-Beveren in a friendly on Friday 17 July at the Parc des Princes.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
“Playing at the Parc is always a delight. It's our home, it's a special stadium with a very special atmosphere. We love playing here. I am very happy that we were able to organise this match in this format (4x30 minutes). It gave us a chance to give all players 60 minutes. It was the best possible way to build up our game time. We did a lot of good things and won without conceding a goal, while creating lots of chances. We are very happy. The players maintained their concentration, trained with a good mentality and in a good atmosphere. You could see that on the pitch.”

Loïc Mbe Soh (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
“We are feeling good physically, we are working together. We are all involved. We, the youngsters, are trying to pick up as much game time as possible. We are very happy with the victory and we hope to continue like this. Huge challenges await us. Scoring my first goal for Paris Saint-Germain, at the Parc des Princes is a real moment of pride for me. It's brilliant! I am very happy to have scored this goal in front of my family, but above all, to have secured the victory.”

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
“We have gone into these two first friendlies seriously. Winning by such a big margin is never easy. We will need to continue like this. I am happy to have the chance to return to the Parc des Princes, and even more so with fans in the ground. Even though it wasn't full, with supporters, it's something else! We need them. Playing was a real pleasure. The first goal? I trusted my instincts and it worked! I turned well and struck with my left. It was a great goal. I am feeling better and better.”
