Thomas Tuchel: 'Our reaction was superb'

Check out the Parisians' reactions after Saturday's 4-2 Ligue 1 win at Nîmes.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"We showed character. We were ready to suffer, so I'm very happy with the attitude and performance of my players. It's very difficult to win here. We had a good first half, it was a lot tougher in the second because we didn't manage to score a third goal quickly. But our reaction was superb after their equaliser, and I want to congratulate my players for that."

Alphonse Areola (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
"We heard our fans throughout the game. We know they're behind us all the time and going over to them was a way of thanking them and sharing the moment with them. They have travelled a long way so it's good to go and see them at the end."

Thomas Meunier (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
"We knew it was going to be difficult here, and I think we didn't make our lives easy for ourselves. We had the match well in hand, we were leading 2-0, we had given them very few chances. We let them back into it through a lack of concentration on our part and euphoria on theirs. They caused us problems, they played to their strengths, but in the end we had the ability to turn round a tricky situation."

Angel Di Maria (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"It was a difficult game and we expected that. They're a tough team to take on, you saw that this evening, but we were able to do what had to be done to get the win. My goal? I have tried to do that several ties, I'm very happy to have pulled it off. I saw there was a space at the near post, and so I wanted to try it. It went in, it's great!"

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"We knew they would put a lot into it, and that's what they did. The most important thing was to win. I'm happy to have scored, but the win is the most important thing. Nîmes are a team that works well defensively and counter-attacks very quickly. It's good for us to play matches like that. We have a very good squad, a very good attitude. We're having a very good start to the season, and I hope we'll keep improving." Speaking to Canal+
