Thomas Tuchel : 'It's up to us to improve'

Thomas Tuchel, Ander Herrera and Presnel Kimpembe all gave us their thoughts on Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)

"We were missing everything in the first half, that's obvious: intensity, aggression, we weren't compact, we didn't play with confidence. Quite honestly, I don't know why, because in recent games it was good, very good. Our preparation was good. The match against Nîmes was good, training was good. It was a big surprise. We tried everything in the second half. We got it back to 1-1, we had chances to perhaps score a second, and in the end, it's tough to lose. Clearly, it's up to us to improve."

Presnel Kimpembe (Paris Saint-Germain defender)

"We wanted to have an impact physically, to put pace into our passing and our movement. You could feel that in the second half. We had a bit of a dip after that. It's a game that's difficult to explain, but we'll have to lift our heads for the upcoming matches. We know we're going to play every three or four days, the games will come very quickly. We're going to have to pick ourselves up and stay focussed on our goals."

Ander Herrera (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)

"We always have intensity, we always try to give our all on the pitch. I think we're going to learn a lot from this match, because now in this group, we can't make a lot of mistakes. We have to win in Turkey. It's good, because we have the opportunity to change this feeling in a week's time, and we'll go there to do that."
