Thomas Tuchel: his 100 matches

Friday's Coupe de France final against Saint-Etienne was also significant for another milestone: the game was Thomas Tuchel's 100th competitive fixture in charge of Paris Saint-Germain.

The symbolism was enhanced by silverware with a 13th Coupe de France that also embellished the German tactician's stats at the head of the capital club.

The coach has 78 wins in his century of games with 280 goals scored, the second-best attacking record in the club's history.

In Ligue 1, he's won 51 of 65 games - that's a win ratio of 78.5% and puts him ahead of any of his predecessors.

He has also taken charge of 16 Champions League games, 11 Coupe de France ties, five in the Coupe de la Ligue, and two Trophées des Champions.

Coincidentally, the team against which Thomas Tuchel has the most wins and no defeats is Saint-Etienne, coming out on top five times in as many meetings.

There have been some memorable games in his 100: there was the series of wins at the start of his tenure (in fact, he became the first Paris coach to win his first five L1 games), which was a taste of things to come.

There was the victory over Liverpool at the Parc des Princes, some masterful Classique displays, a brilliant performance against Real Madrid and, of course, the match against Dortmund last March. And not forgetting his 100th game, celebrated with champagne in the post-match press conference, just as he did his very first match and the Trophée des Champions win over Monaco. May there be many more such occasions to come.
