Thomas Tuchel: 'For our fans'

Thomas Tuchel, Alphonse Areola, Julian Draxler, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Kylian Mbappé gave us their thoughts on Sunday's 2-0 in over arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"It was a tough game, but we'd expected that. Congratulations to the team. This win is for our fans. They were at the airport when we left this morning. The team has worked hard and done it together."

Alphonse Areola (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
"As they say, you don't play a Classique, you win it! We put in all the ingredients to win the game. We were solid and respected our game plan. That's the most important thing. It's never easy to play a Classique. We were focussed. The coach made choices, and it's us to us to adapt."

Julian Draxler (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)
"Games here are always difficult, so we're very happy to have won. This win is for our fans. It wasn't easy, but at the end we've won again. Our unbeaten run against Marseille makes us, the club and our fans happy. Also, it means we've won an 11th successive league game, it's incredible."

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"It was a Classique, so we had to battle, win challenges and be focussed right to the end. Kylian came off the bench and turn the game, but the whole team put in a lot of effort. I'm very happy to have won my first Classique. In the first half, it was difficult to create chances and I worked for the team. The most important thing is to have won, all together. I'm proud to have played this game and helped the team."

Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"The team needed this win. A great team relies on its leaders and they need to make the difference at key times. I think I can take on that role and I did it today. We have to keep going and stay on the right track. We know that Marseille have a lot of impact at home. Today, they showed they're a team that plays good football. They had a number of situations where we were in difficulty, they deserve credit, but we were clinical and came away with the win." speaking to Canal+
