Thomas Tuchel: 'Difficult to accept'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Presnel Kimpembe gave their thoughts after the defeat on Sunday evening against Olympique de Marseille (0-1).

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain Coach)

"It wasn't complicated. We were the better team, both technically and physically. Clearly the better team. I expected a more difficult match and it wasn't the case. The only thing is that we were missing that goal and sometimes in football, it's difficult to accept and to understand why you lose a match like that, without real reason. We are not going to look for other reasons on the pitch other than a lack of luck. The last 3 minutes were too much, our reactions were over the top. Those that were in the stadium know that this situation started from the start of the match and it got worse, but that is also our fault.

The cards? We are the ones that are going to suffer now because of these 3 red cards, it's too much, I don't like it and I hate this result. But I liked the way we played, our structure, our mentality, winning the ball high up the pitch. We saw some very good individual performances and a satisfactory team performance."

Presnel Kimpembe (Paris Saint-Germain defender)

"It's difficult to take. On the whole, we had a good match, we weren't able to take our chances and it's a painful 0-1 defeat. We will say that it's was down to a lack of luck, but we came up against a strong Mandanda. There isn't much to say, it was difficult not to score, and we will need to face up to it."
