Thomas Tuchel: 'Continue in the same spirt'

"Unfortunately, the list of absentees is long. A week ago, 25 players were in training. Everyone was there, that won't be the case on Sunday. Edinson Cavani, Thomas Meunier, Juan Bernat, Marco Verratti, Adil Aouchiche, Marquinhos, Thilo Kehrer and Tanguy Kouassi will all be out. It's nothing serious, but each of them is suffering from a slight injury. Everybody else who isn't injured will therefore be in the squad. We will play with 11 strong players, a team that can win. I am confident but I don't want to use certain players too much, but I won't have a choice."

LORIENT

"It's a cup match, so it's always difficult and dangerous. If we change the team too much, some will think that we are too confident. We need to show respect for the game, the opponent and our performance. If we modify the team too much, it's not fair for the players as they need to find their rhythm together. It's not easy. If we make a few adjustments, it's easier. We are always confident but we need to be wary, you can't expect too much of us. Lorient are a Ligue 2 side and people will be expecting lots of goals because of that. It doesn't work like that. We need to play seriously, with intensity and respect for ourselves and the other team. We are capable of winning together."

"I am convinced that we are going to play with the necessary attitude to win. It can be a very difficult match, away from home, against a strong side from Ligue 2, who have nothing to lose. We can't expect too much of players who are lacking in rhythm. It's never easy. I expect us to play seriously, that we pay attention to detail and that we continue in the same spirit.
