Tuchel: 'An incredible mentality'

Find out what the Paris Saint-Germain squad had to say after Wednesday's 1-0 Ligue 1 win over FC Metz.

Thomas Tuchel

"I didn't see the last metre of the ball from Julian's header, as I had to stay seated. The finish was impressive, playing with 9 against 11. We showed an incredible mentality. It was a deserved victory after a crazy match. I am very proud. It wasn't the same quality as against Marseille, but it was still strong. There were still a lot of changes in the team. We have to make some players play despite the lack of training because we have no choice, but we managed to grab our first three points and that's important."

Marquinhos

"That goal at the end of the game was a relief. After two defeats, a draw would have been hard to take. We played a good game, we created a lot of chances, we managed to win the ball high up the pitch. But as against Marseille, we had to make it count on the scoreboard. Julian's goal did us good. Football changes very quickly, our role in defence is to keep the team focused. We must remain aggressive and well concentrated so as not to concede a goal and motivate our strikers to score."

Bandiougou Fadiga

"I feel a lot of pride, it was complicated to get into the game when I came on. I can't ask for anything better than this victory in the Parc on my debut. It's an immense joy. When I started the game, the coach told me to play relaxed, to play one on one, to defend and help the team as much as possible. The first few minutes were difficult because the intensity was high. But afterwards you gain confidence. There was a great feeling for the goal when you play 9 against 11. I let it all go when I jumped on Julian!"

Julian Draxler

"The situation was complicated so it was important to win tonight. It's hard, we created some chances, but we're not 100%, if we had scored in the first half it would have been easier, but we had to work hard to win. We are all very happy. After 75 minutes we started to get tired, but we have to work hard. Especially me because it's been a long time since I've played 90 minutes for the club. There are a lot of absentees. I need rhythm, but I'm very happy to have shown today that I'm capable of helping the team."
