Tuchel: 'A good week's preparation'

We've had a good week with everyone on the pitch. There was  lot of intensity in training the last two days and I'm very happy. Neymar Jr and Idrissa Gueye are back and that's good news. They trained with intensity and did everything that was asked of them. They are ready and feeling good. No problems.

INTERNATIONAL BREAK

There is always a risk. The club are the ones that suffer. You can lose a player through injury without having the chance to do anythig about it. We are always worried. A lot of our players are immune to COVID-19, which is a sort of advantage for us, but I'm still worried because certain players could play three games which is too many. I hope everyone returns without injury.

FINISHING

My players are always confident and are mentally ready to score. In recent matches, we created a lot of scoring chances. That's the most important thing for me, to be able to create the chances. We still have few little details to sort out when we get into the opposition penalty box, but we created a lot of chances in our recent games. We don't need to change things technically, but perhaps there's a certain physical or mental fatigue. The squad played in the UCL Final 8 in Portugal and didn't have a preseason. We have to accept that and focus on the next match which will be very tough. But as long as we keep creating chances, I'll be happy.
