Thomas Meunier: 'Be solid'

The Paris Saint-Germain defender has his sights focussed on a third successive start as the league leaders face Reims on Wednesday.

REIMS
"Reims are a lot like Strasbourg in the way they play. During your first year in Ligue 1, you have to show you're up to the standard, and in the second you have a little more difficulty, that's the way it is, and that's what Reims have had these last three years. They play defensively and on the counter-attack, especially against us. We have to be solid."

LAST TWO MATCHES
"They were two big team performances. We tried to find the best way to beat those teams. Against Real Madrid, it was perfect, and against Lyon, it was also a good display, even if we took longer to score. We could have finished the game a lot earlier, we weren't able to, but with names like Neymar, Di Maria, Cavani or Mbappé, it's always easier to win. These two results are positive and I like to be on the pitch. It's always more difficult when you don't play. Since you were a child, football is all you have thought about. I always have that feeling of wanting to play. I'm very happy to have played two matches, and to have played well."

TEAM STRENGTH
"The level of the team is always a subjective question. We have a very balanced squad, we needed reinforcements in midfield. We were a little tight before, but now we have a quality bench and a really complete squad. Leonardo and the staff have worked well, it was the most important thing to have a complete squad for every game."
