Thilo Kehrer: "We must accept the decisions"

From confinement, Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer gave an interview to PSG TV and et gave his views on the situation.

While the Paris Saint-Germain players are confined to their homes - because of the health crisis - PSGTV is catching up with them to get their news in order to find out how they're living through this special time.

It's an unusual situation and one that needs to be dealt with philosophically, as Thilo Kehrer told us: "It's a bizarre situation but I'm trying to keep busy and do different things every day to make the time pass. I hope that soon things will be back to normal for everybody."

"Fortunately we have a little garden here where I am with my family. I've also got footballs here and everything I need to work well. It's important to stay in good health, to do sport, to occupy yourself mentally, to spend time doing productive things and with those people close to you, your family," the n°4 explained to us from his family home in Germany.

Far away from his usual daily life as a top level sportsman, but also far away from his teammates, Thilo Kehrer doesn't hide that he's missing being in the French capital: "What I'm missing the most is simply normal life. All the things we're used to doing on a daily basis like training, spending time with my teammates and the coaching staff. And then of course there are the matches and the emotions you feel during a match. I speak a lot to my teammates, whether it's on WhatsApp, social media or video calls."

While the French league has been suspended and the authorities are still working on how to get things going and a new fixture list, the German international gave us his view on the situation at Paris, who had a large 12 point lead at the top of the table before confinement: "I think we have to accept the decisions that have been taken, in all sports and in all countries. I think the teams that are at the top of their leagues at the moment deserve to be there. If the decision is taken to call an end to the season then the title will be deserved too."
