Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé netted his first ever UEFA Champions League hat-trick. He is the youngest French player to score a hat-trick in European competition. The World Cup winner is the fourth player to score a hat-trick off the bench in the competition and the first since Joseba Llorente for Villarreal against Aalborg on 21 October 2008.

Provider of three assists against Brugge, Paris Saint-Germain forward Angel Di Maria is the first Rouge et Player to achieve such a feat since Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided 4 against Dinamo Zagreb on 6 November 2012. The Argentina international has been directly involved in 22 goals in the competition since joining Paris in 2015 (12 goals and 10 assists in 33 appearances) - no other player has done better of the same period for Les Rouge et Bleu. It is the Paris No.11's first assists hat-trick in the competition.

With three goals and an assist on Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé is the first substitute to be directly involved in four goals off the bench since Opta began analysing matches in 2003-04. Aged 20 years and 306 days, the Paris No.7 is the third youngest player involved in four goals in a single match after Wayne Rooney (18 years and 340 days, vs Fenerbahçe on 28 September 2004) and Ousmane Dembélé (19 years and 191, against Legia on 22 November 2016). Kylian is the youngest player in the history of the UEFA Champions League to score 17 goals.

Paris Saint-Germain equalled its biggest ever away win in the competition, along with the 5-0 wins over Anderlecht (23/10/2013), Malmö (25/11/2015) and Celtic (12/09/2017). Club Brugge hadn't conceded five goals in this competition since 9 November 1988 (1-6, vs Monaco). It is the first time that Brugge have conceded five goals at home in the UEFA Champions League.

In scoring the third goal of the match, Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi netted the club's 200th goal in the UEFA Champions League. Paris is the 11th club to reach the milestone. It was also Mauro Icardi's first brace in the competition in this, his ninth match. He has got all five of his shots at goal on target this season.
