The Parisians' international break

Ten Paris Saint-Germain first-teamers were off representing their countries during the March international break.

PRESNEL KIMPEMBE / KYLIAN MBAPPÉ - FRANCE

Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappé played three FIFA World Cup qualifiers. After a 1-1 draw at home to Ukraine, Les Bleus picked up their first win with a 2-0 victory in Kazakhstan, and followed that up with a 1-0 win in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Both started the game against Kazakhstan and Bosnia-Herzegovina, while Mbappé came off the bench against Ukraine. France are top of the group 

ALESSANDRO FLORENZI / MARCO VERRATTI - ITALY

After Moise Kean returned to Paris, there were only two Parisians in the Italy squad. Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Verratti started qualifying with a 2-0 win against Northern Ireland and then won by the same scoreline in Bulgaria and Lithuania. The Paris Saint-Germain pair started the first two games but were rested for the third. Italy top Group C, three points ahead of Switzerland.

DANILO PEREIRA - PORTUGAL

The Seleção beat Azerbaijan 1-0 in Turin and then drew 2-2 in Serbia - a game in which the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder played the full 90 minutes - before a 3-1 success in Luxembourg to leave the European champions top of Group A, ahead of Serbia on goal difference.

ABDOU DIALLO / IDRISSA GUEYE - SENEGAL

Abdou Diallo and Idrissa Gueye were involved in 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, drawing 0-0 with Congo and 1-1 with Eswatini. The pair started the first game with the Paris Saint-Germain defender making his senior international debut. Senegal finished top of Group I to secure their place in the final tournament.

KEYLOR NAVAS - COSTA RICA

Keylor Navas had two friendlies, drawing 0-0 with Bosnia-Herzegovina and then losing 1-0 to Mexico three days later in Austria. After being rested for the first game, the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper played all of the second.

COLIN DAGBA - FRANCE U21

Colin Dagba was involved in the U21 EURO final tournament group stage. After losing 1-0 to Denmark, the Bleuets beat Russia 2-0 and then Iceland by the same scoreline to secure their place in the knockout stages, which start at the end of May.

MITCHEL BAKKER - PAYS-BAS U21

Dagba could come up against his club teammate after the Dutch also progressed to the final eight. Draws with Romania and Germany were followed by a 6-1 win over Hungary. The Paris Saint-Germain defender played all of the first two games and the first half of the third.
