The Parisian Advent Calendar - 8 for...

As Christmas approaches, PSG.FR takes this opportunity to look back at one of Paris Saint-Germain's key numbers from this year. Day 8.

8 for... the 8 seconde it took Kylian Mbappé to score against Lille

A spectacular goal, a record goal, a Kylian goal. The Parisian number 7 needed only 8 seconds to open the score against Lille, at the Decathlon Arena, on matchday 3 of Ligue 1 2022-2023.

The goal marked the start of a resounding 7-1 victory for the Parisians in the north, with a hat-trick from the man who opened the scoring. It was a landmark victory for the Rouge et Bleu, with the added bonus of a Parisian record for Mbappé, who at the same time became the fastest goalscorer in the history of the club from the capital, overtaking Paul Le Guen and his goal after 13 seconds in 1993.

A superb team move - worked on in training - perfectly executed, which surprised the whole defence and the Lille structure. A real master stroke by Christophe Galtier and his men!
