The new recruits presented at the Parc des Princes

The capital club presented its new recruits to the fans at the Parc des Princes during the match between Paris Saint-Germain and RC Lens in Ligue 1 Round 3.

Paris fans at the Parc des Princes were in for a pleasant surprise on Saturday 26 August, when Paris Saint-Germain took on RC Lens in Ligue 1. A great match needs a great spectacle, and that's why the capital club took the opportunity to present its ten summer recruits before kick-off. Les Rouge et Bleu flags in the Paris stand, a "Welcome in Paris" banner in the Junior Club stand and a standing ovation throughout the Parc: the Parisian fans gave a fitting welcome to the new faces at the capital club.

WELCOME LUIS ENRIQUE

First to arrive this summer, Paris Saint-Germain's new coach Luis Enrique received a welcome worthy of his position. The Spanish tactician has been at the club for a month now, and has already begun to instil his ideas for the game in the Parisian players. The Iberian coach, who said he loved the atmosphere at the Parc des Princes when he made his debut against Lorient a fortnight ago, received a warm ovation from the crowd.

PARIS' NEW GUARD

A Spanish prospect from Catalonia, Paris Saint-Germain's new goalkeeper Arnau Tenas was the first player to be called up by the voice of the Parc, Michel Montana. This was followed by the presentation of Les Rouge et Bleu's new number 37: Slovak international Milan Skriniar. Finally, French international Lucas Hernandez also received a warm welcome from the Paris fans.

A YOUTHFUL MIDFIELD

We moved up a notch on the pitch with the presentation of the capital club's new midfielders. The number 4, Manuel Ugarte, was first up and seemed to be the new darling of the fans. Then, the first Korean player in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, Kang-In Lee, also received a fervent welcome from the Paris fans. The same went for the Azzurri's young hope Cher Ndour.

A FLAMBOYANT BOOST IN ATTACK

As for the attacking sector, it too has benefited from some off-season tinkering. The Paris Saint-Germain fans welcomed their new numbers 9, 10 and 11 in style. First Spain's Marco Asensio, then Portugal's Gonçalo Ramos, took to the pitch to a standing ovation at the Parc des Princes. But the most eagerly awaited player was undoubtedly France's Ousmane Dembélé. The 2018 World Champion with Les Rouge et Bleu, the new number 10 already seems to have won over the fans.
