It was against Reims on 4 May 1974 that Paris Saint-Germain played a sold-out match at the Parc des Princes for the first time in their history. 44,534 spectators turned out for the first leg of the Coupe de France quarter-final, which Reims won 5-0. It was also against Reims that the Parisians reached the 30,000-spectator mark for the first time in the top flight (31,589 spectators for the 3-0 victory on 8 December 1974).
