Stats & Facts: the win over Nantes in focus!

Match in numbers

All the key stats from Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 Ligue 1 win at the weekend.

Paris SOLID AT HOME

Paris Saint-Germain have now won their last 11 matches in all competitions at the Parc des Princes, their best run since August 2017-February 2018 (19 games). Paris' goal 41 seconds in was their quickest in Ligue 1 since 14 May 2017 when they struck after 81 seconds against Saint-Etienne. The Rouge-et-Bleus showed their character to come back from 1-0 down and a man down to equalise before pushing on for the three points.

Messi'S MAIDEN Ligue 1 goal

Leo Messi was in great form this weekend. The Paris  number 30 scored his first goal in Ligue 1, and was involved in nine shots (6 shots, 3 passes before a shot), his best such tally in a league game this season. His timing was impeccable, giving his ten-man side breathing space.

KYLIAN MBAPPé IN GREAT form

The capital club's number 7 scored the fastest goal of his career. He's now been involved in 32 Ligue 1 goals in 2021 (22 goals, 10 assists), that's at least seven more than any other player in the same timeframe. His goal was his seventh in Ligue 1 this season, and he also registered his seventh league assist, and his 11th in all competitions.

THE Neymar-Messi LINK

The duo of Neymar - Leo Messi exchanged 39 passes against Nantes, the highest tally between two forwards in the same Ligue 1 game since OPTA started analysing the data (2006/07).

Bernard Lama VISITING THE PARC

The former Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper (318 competitive appearances between 1992 and 2000) was watching on from the stands. The former France international (44 caps) also took part in the Live before the game, and got a great ovation from the Virage Auteuil and the whole stadium.

HAPPY 30TH TO THE virage Auteuil

The Virage Auteuil celebrated its 30th birthday on Saturday and marked the occasion with three spectacular tifos displayed when the players came out onto the pitch. The Parisians needed their unflinching support during the game too, especially after being reduced to ten men on 65 minutes. As always, the club's '12th man' showed they can be relied on as they pushed the team on to score twice more.
