Stats & Facts: A look back at the win against Lille!

Match in numbers

What an ending! Take a look at the key stats and facts from the Parisians' 4-3 victory against Lille this Sunday 19 February at the Parc des Princes!

A crazy 100th!

A match (the 100th official one between the two teams) during which we went through all the emotions. After a difficult start, the Parisians led by two goals, before Lille came back and went ahead. Just as we thought we were in for a fourth straight defeat in all competitions, the Rouge et Bleu turned the situation around in a few minutes.

The Parc de Paris was filled with joy when Messi scored his second direct free-kick since arriving in Paris, after the one he scored against Nice, also this season. With seven goals scored at the Parc on Sunday, and eight in the first leg in Lille (a 7-1 victory for the Parisians), this became the most prolific double-header of the 21st century in Ligue 1, level with Guingamp-Lorient in 2001-2002.

Mbappé, what else?

Kylian Mbappé is two goals away from equalling the club's all-time top scorer record, having scored his 197th and 198th goals for Paris. We're getting closer to the moment! He has also opened the scoring 36 times in Ligue 1 since joining Paris (September 2017), at least 7 more than any other player in the top flight over the period.

Against Lille in Ligue 1, Kylian has been involved in 14 goals (8 goals, 6 assists) and is only better against Montpellier in the top flight (15). Kylian also scored his 150th Ligue 1 goal (134 with PSG, 16 with Monaco).

a Classique on the horizon

With this timely win, the Parisians maintain their 5-point lead over Marseille and 6 points over Monaco in the standings. Everyone is winning at the top of the table, the pace is crazy in this Ligue 1.

Next Sunday, our Parisians will go to Marseille, at the Velodrome, in matchday 25 of Ligue 1. First place away to their nearest rivals, a few days after a first battle in the Coupe de France. It will be a great opportunity to deal a blow at the away to second place, before looking ahead to other important fixtures.
