With the victory over Les Castelroussins, Paris Saint-Germain ensured they successfully navigated the Round of 64 of the Coupe de France for the 33rd consecutive year. Since the 1991 edition, the club from the capital is the only club to have participated in every Round of 32 of the competition. In 52 seasons, Les Rouge et Bleu's record is exceptional, with 47 qualifications at this stage of the competition, and just five eliminations. Paris haven't been beaten in the Round of 64 of the Coupe de France since 17 February 1990 (32 years ago).

Les Parisiens have qualified in every one of their last 24 away matches in the competition, with their last defeat away from home coming on 17 April 2013, against Evian TG (1-1 a.e.t., 1-4 on penalties). Paris Saint-Germain haven't been beaten by a club from a lower league in the Coupe de France since 4 March 2009 and the elimination (1-3 a.e.t.) in the Round of 16 against Rodez (National) - that's a run of 27 matches (Aubervilliers, Evian TG, Vesoul, Quevilly, Agen, Martigues, Le Mans, Angers, Locminé, Sablé, Arras, Brest, Auxerre, Wasquehal, Niort, Avranches, Sochaux, Les Herbiers, Pontivy, Villefranche, Linas-Montlhéry, Lorient, Pau, Caen, Feignies-Aulnoye, Vannes, and now Châteauroux).

EKITIKE AND SOLER ON A ROLL

With his goal on Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike has now scored in 3 of his last 4 matches across all competitions for the club from the capital, after not finding the back of the net during his first 11 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu.

His teammate  Carlos Soler, who also found the back of Berrichonne's net, scored his 4th goal of the season for Paris across all competitions. The Spaniard is the club's 4th top scorer this season, behind Kylian Mbappé (20 goals), Neymar Jr (15 goals) and Lionel Messi (12 goals).

THE YOUNGSTERS ON SHOW!

With an assist for the opener, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ismaël Gharbi became the youngest player to have been directly involved in a goal for the club from the capital across all competitions this season (18 years and 271 days).

Another of his teammates at Châteauroux, Warren Zaïre-Emery became the youngest player to start a match for Les Rouge et Bleu across all competitions, taking the record from Mamadou Sakho (17 years and 1 day).

Finally, another product of the club's youth system, Paris Saint-Germain forward Ilyes Housni, came on in the final stages of the match, becoming the 492nd player to play for Paris Saint-Germain.
