Stats & Facts: A look back at the victory in Turin against Juventus

Match in numbers

Take a look at the key figures and stats from the UEFA Champions League matchday 6 as Paris beat Juventus in Turin.

A first in french football

With this victory, Paris became the first French team in history to win away to Juventus. In previous Champions League campaigns, AS Monaco lost 2-1 at the Italian venue in 2017 while Olympique Lyonnais drew 1-1 a year earlier.

the unbeaten run continues

Following Napoli's defeat at Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain are now the only club to remain unbeaten in all competitions in Europe's top five leagues this season, with a record of 16 wins and four draws from 20 games played.

a crazy ending

Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 for the 11th time in a row, but were beaten to first place by Benfica... on away goals scored! This is the first time in the history of the competition that two teams have finished top of their group with the same number of points and goals scored and conceded (14 points, 16 goals scored and 7 conceded).

the lightning substitute appearance from NUNO MENDES

Nuno Mendes scored the winning goal just 34 seconds after coming on the pitch. He became the fastest substitute in Paris Saint-Germain's history to score after coming on as a substitute in the Champions League. The Portuguese full-back took advantage of the opportunity to score his first ever European goal.

MBAPPÉ-MESSI, a prolific DUO

At the age of 23 years, 10 months and 13 days, Kylian Mbappé became the youngest player to reach the 40-goal mark in Champions League history, surpassing his teammate Lionel Messi (24 years, 4 months and 8 days).

It is also the ninth time the Frenchman has scored and set up in the same Champions League match. Since his debut in the competition in 2016, only the Argentine has done better over the period (10). The latter also provided his fourth assist in the Champions League this season, although he had never provided more than three at this stage of the competition. He is now tied with Diogo Jota (Liverpool) and Joao Cancelo (Manchester City) as the competition's leading assist provider.

With 7 goals in 6 games, Kylian Mbappé leads the Champions League scoring charts alongside Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah (Liverpool). The only player in Paris Saint-Germain's history to have scored more goals in a Champions League group stage is Zlatan Ibrahimovic with 8 goals in 2013-2014.
