Stats & Facts : A look back at the victory in Angers

Match in numbers

Here are the key numbers from Paris' 3-0 win at Angers, which took Paris Saint-Germain closer to their 10th league title.

Almost 10

Paris won in style at the Stade Raymond Kopa. To be officially crowned French champions, the runners-up Marseille needed a slip-up at home against Nantes, but the Phocéens' 3-2 victory delayed the Red and Blue's coronation. With a 15-point lead and five games left to play, a win or a draw against Lens on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes in the 34th round of Ligue 1 would ensure that Mauricio Pochettino's men win the title.

This was the 4th consecutive victory for the Parisians, who had a similar winning streak last September, with 4 wins then as well.

The record against Angers continues

This was the 21st victory in official matches for the Parisians against the SCO, with only 7 draws and 3 defeats. The Red and Blue have now gone 27 official matches without defeat against Angers, since a 1-3 loss in Anjou in the first division on 12 January 1975, 47 years ago! This is a record for Paris against the SCO, ahead of Saint-Etienne (23 matches without victory against Paris Saint-Germain).

Paris Saint-Germain are now on a 5-game winning streak in Angers in Ligue 1 (2016-2017: 2-0, 2017-2018: 5-0, 2018-2019: 2-1, 2020-2021: 1-0 and 2021-2022: 3-0). This 5th success in Anjou means that the run enters the top 5 in the history of the club, behind Lorient, Metz and Nantes (6 victories), and level with Brest and Valenciennes (5).

Paris also won their 14th consecutive official match against Angers, the second best run in the club's history, behind the 17 victories against Nantes (run ended) and ahead of the 12 wins against Lorient (run ended).

No limit Kylian, Di Maria 200 !

129 goals in Ligue 1 for Kylian Mbappé, including 113 with Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisian number 7 equals Ibrahimovic (also 113), with only Edinson Cavani doing better (138). He scored his 9th goal from outside the box in Ligue 1, the 1st with his left foot.

Angel Di Maria has now been involved in 200 goals in all competitions with Paris in 290 matches (90 goals, 110 assists). He made two assists in the same Ligue 1 match for the first time since 23 February 2020 (2 against Bordeaux).

Special mention to El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who played his first Ligue 1 match, after playing in the Coupe de France this season with Paris Saint-Germain. He is the third youngest player in the club's history to play a league match (16 years, 11 months and 4 days), behind Kingsley Coman (16 years, 8 months and 4 days) and Nicolas Anelka (16 years, 10 months and 24 days).

Finally, Marquinhos has beaten his best ever Ligue 1 goals total (4). He is already the best defender-goal scorer in the history of the capital club, with 35 goals scored.
